Lawrence J. Connell is Associate Professor of Law at Widener's Delaware campus. Professor Connell received an A.B. from University of Delaware in 1975, and a J.D. from Wake Forest University School of Law in 1978.

Following graduation from law school, Professor Connell clerked for the Supreme Court of Delaware, Georgetown, 1978-79. He then served as Associate Attorney, Law Office of James C. Sabo, Georgetown, 1980-84.

Professor Connell joined the faculty at Delaware Law School as an Instructor from 1984-86; he then served as Assistant Professor of Law from 1986-90; he has served as Associate Professor of Law since 1990. Professor Connell is admitted to practice in the State of Delaware.

Professor Connell teaches and writes in the areas of Criminal Law, Criminal Procedure, and Lawyering Skills and Ethics. He is also co-director of the Judicial Externship Program and the Clinical Externship Program along with Professor Francis Catania.

Professor Connell has been active in a number of professional and civic organizations, including the Delaware Law Related Education Center, a statewide consortium that promotes law-related initiatives to citizens throughout Delaware.
