Kevin Perna is a Sergeant with nearly 22 years as a Delaware State Trooper. Sergeant Perna is currently assigned as the Operations Commander of the Delaware State Police High Technology Crimes Unit and the Child Predator Federal Taskforce. Sergeant Perna holds an undergraduate degree in Criminal Justice and a MBA from Wilmington University. He is certified in computer forensics, cell phone forensics, and the seizure of digital evidence. Sergeant Perna has written policies pertaining to cell phones seizures and examinations. He has sat on the committee for cell phones created by the Delaware Department of Justice. He has been a guest lecturer for Richard Herrmann’s technology classes at Widener for the past 8 years. Sergeant Perna has been awarded the Superintendent’s Citation of distinguished performance twice. He has sat on the steering committee of the Cyber Terrorism Exercise hosted by Delaware Department of Technology and Information for the past 9 years.
