Chris Raphaely is a health care lawyer with over twenty years experience representing providers in large-scale, complex transactional, regulatory and litigation matters. He has been a valued advisor to boards of directors and senior management on projects involving cutting edge payment and clinical delivery models, managed care contracting, payer reimbursement and collection, hospital-physician joint ventures, income tax-exemption, tax–exempt financing, governance, data privacy and security, and compliance in both private practice and as in-house counsel.
Since 2006, Chris has been Deputy General Counsel of Jefferson Health System, the largest health system in Southeastern Pennsylvania. Chris is also General Counsel to the System’s two captive professional liability insurance companies and its accountable care organization and has been an adjunct professor at the Widener School of Law since 2008. Prior to joining Jefferson Health System, he was a partner in the law firm of Duane Morris LLP. He is admitted to practice law in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. Chris is a 1990 graduate of Temple University Beasley School of Law and a 1986 graduate of the University of Pennsylvania.
