About the Program
The Health Law Institute at Widener University School of Law is pleased to offer a 4-day training program for compliance professionals and attorneys interested in issues currently arising in hospital and long-term care settings [ see Agenda below ]. Attendees will receive instruction from leading compliance practitioners and attorneys in private practice in their respective areas of expertise.
The program has been approved by the
Compliance Certification Board (CCB) for 28 Continuing Education Credits meeting content criteria in 10 content areas. Days 1 and 4 of the program also approved for up to 11
1/2 hours of Continuing Legal Education (CLE) credit (including 1 hour for ethics) for attorneys licensed in Pennsylvania and Delaware, and for 2 credits towards Widener’s
Master of Jurisprudence in Health Law.
Attendees will receive a certificate issued by Widener’s Health Law Institute, as well as a CCB attendance record for persons intending to obtain for CCB certification ( not provided in this program). Students in Widener’s MJ program will receive 2 academic credits (Pass/Fail) upon completion of the program and passing an examination.

Who Should Attend
- Current and prospective compliance officers and risk managers
- 2nd year Students in Widener Law’s MJ in Health Law program
- PA and DE attorneys seeking an update in hospital regulatory and liability issues, CLE credit and/or CCB credit.
Prerequisites
This program is intended for persons with a bachelors-level degree. Additional requirements may obtain for persons seeking CCB certification.
Faculty
Instruction will be provided by a faculty consisting of attorneys and experienced compliance professionals. This program is accredited by the HCCA for 28 Continuing Education Credits.
Location
The program will take place at Widener Law School’s Wilmington, Delaware campus.
Accommodation
Overnight accommodation arrangements, if required, are the individual’s responsibility.

The cost of accommodations and meals are not included in program tuition.
