The Master of Jurisprudence (MJ) in Corporate and Business Law is a masters degree program designed for those seeking graduate-level training in legal analysis and regulatory compliance in a corporate, business, non-profit or government environment.

Program Description
The MJ in Corporate and Business Law is an online program designed to accommodate the working professional seeking to improve employment opportunities or simply to keep pace with changing regulatory requirements. It requires 29 credit hours of course work and can be completed in two academic years. During the capstone course, students will work through simulations to resolve compliance issues and mock SCCE exam questions.

Widener Law School’s MJ in Corporate and Business Law program has the distinction of being accredited by the Compliance Certification Board (CCB) and is a member of the Society for Corporate Compliance and Ethics (SCCE). Widener University School of Law received the Society of Corporate Compliance and Ethics 7th Annual International Compliance award for the exceptional work done to further the compliance and ethics profession. Specifically, Widener University School of Law was recognized for achievements in academic development promoting the profession of compliance and ethics, technology focused on assisting compliance professionals, and the development of programs focused on integrity and ethical behaviors. Students graduating from this program earn not only a Master’s Degree but also a Certificate in Regulatory Compliance & Analysis. Widener is the first CCB-accredited law school to offer this specialized education.

Program
Objectives Careers benefiting from such training include corporate management, compliance officers, risk managers, audit managers, government and agency officials as well as those seeking positions in corporate related fields. In response to the growing need for trained graduates in corporate and business law, Widener has created two program tracks in the business and regulatory compliance arena.

Externships
The MJ program offers a Corporate and Business Law Externship in a variety of settings. This externship is open to students who have successfully completed their first year courses and is a great opportunity to gain practical skills training while earning credits toward graduation.

Tuition
The tuition for the 2014-2015 academic year is $1,024 per credit*. Financial aid is available for qualified students. (*Subject to change.)

The MJ in Corporate and Business Law with a concentration in Global Compliance and Ethics is an online program designed to accommodate the working professional seeking to improve employment opportunities or simply to keep pace with changing regulatory requirements. Widener Law’s program requires 29 credit hours of course work and can be completed in two academic years. During the global capstone course, students will work through simulations to resolve global compliance issues and mock exam questions for the Compliance Certification Board's (CCB) exam to become a Certified Corporate Compliance and Ethics Professional-International (CCEP-I). According to the Compliance Certification Board, the Certified Compliance & Ethics Professional–International (CCEP-I)® is someone with knowledge of relevant international regulations and expertise in compliance processes sufficient to assist organizations with their legal obligations, and someone who promotes organizational integrity through the operation of effective compliance programs.
