Students who complete course requirements gain legal knowledge that is a predicate to advanced practice in corporate law.Requirements for CertificationStudents must submit an application to the Registrar’s Office by no later than the drop/add period of their final semester. To be awarded a Business Organizations Law Certificate, a student must have an overall cumulative average of 2.8
and a 2.8 cumulative average in all concentration courses.

Writing Requirement
All students seeking a Business Organizations Law Certificate must complete a scholarly paper on a subject involving business organizations law. The paper may be submitted in satisfaction of the requirements for membership on The Delaware Journal of Corporate Law, as directed research performed with a full-time member of the faculty of the Widener Institute of Delaware Corporate and Business Law, or as part of a business law seminar.
