Domestic Violence Research and Advocacy Fellowship
Available to a rising first or second year law student who demonstrates outstanding academic achievement, a commitment to stopping domestic violence, and an interest in pro bonoservice. Selection is based on a commitment to service and public advocacy. The Fellowship will benefit a rising first or second year Widener Law student who will devote 12-15 hours each week during both the fall and spring semesters to research advocacy and outreach in the area of domestic violence. The student coordinator position will benefit a rising first or second year Widener Law student. It is anticipated that the student coordinator will devote approximately 10 hours each week during both the fall and spring semesters to the recruitment, training, and coordination of student volunteers who will interact directly with members of the community, educating them about the legal rights of domestic violence survivors. The Student Coordinator will plan and facilitate student volunteer activities
