The Food and Drug Law Association
The Food and Drug Law Association (FDLA) is dedicated to creating awareness of the important legal and health issues that fall under the Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act (FDCA) within the Widener School of Law and surrounding Wilmington communities. The FDLA will raise awareness in these areas in order to foster a deeper understanding in the community of the products they use on a daily basis. With a deeper understanding, society can make more informed decisions that are safer and healthier. FDLA will also provide a support resource for those in the Widener community suffering from food allergies, and serve as a forum for students to discuss important legal issues that arise under the FDCA as controlled by the United States Food and Drug Administration. FDLA hopes to create a social and professional outlet for those interested in food and drug law issues and related topics.
Some topics that FDLA will be covering are: food, drugs, dietary supplements, vaccines, healthcare, obesity, veterinary products, and cosmetics among others.
