National Lawyer's Guild - Student Chapter
Mission Statement: The National Lawyer's Guild is an organization that began in 1937 as the nation’s first racially integrated bar association. The Guild is committed to fairness and equality for all people. Guild lawyers participate in the nations most controversial and compelling struggles for social, political, and economic equality.

Here at Widener, The National Lawyer's Guild (NLG) is dedicated to promoting a culture of activism and critical thinking. The Student Chapter is devoted to helping Widener students realize their potential as active leaders in the legal community. The Chapter will focus on promoting an atmosphere of open dialogue to supplement the traditional “Socratic Method” style of learning, and facilitate community projects to enhance the law school experience. The Chapter will also provide students with an opportunity to work with other progressive legal organizations and to work with local student chapters at neighboring schools.
