SALDF Mission
The Widener Law School SALDF Student Animal Legal Defense Fund ("SALDF") is the student chapter of the nationally recognized Animal Legal Defense Fund. At Widener Law Harrisburg, SALDF is dedicated to providing a forum for education, advocacy, fundraising, and scholarship aimed at protecting the lives and advancing the interests of animals through the legal system, and raising the profile of the field of animal law. As law students and future attorneys, we are in a unique position to be able to create change and improve the lives of animals more quickly, perhaps more effectively, and more broadly than are members of the general public.
