Mentoring: Student and Alumni
Established in 1999 by the Career Development Office, the Widener Network Mentoring Program pairs volunteer alumni, practitioners, and judges with first year law students. Mentors provide new students with the benefit of knowledge and experience to help them deal with the challenge of making major decisions early in their legal education.

If you’re a first year student interested in the mentoring program, take a look at the Mentoring Goals & Guidelines and the Mentoring Guide for Students to gain an idea of the valuable advice and guidance you will receive.

If you’re interested in being a mentor, read about how to participate in the program, or get some tips and suggestions on mentoring. Imagine the sense of satisfaction that comes from helping a future colleague and member of the Widener family.
