Reporting Incidents
Any victim or witness of a crime who desires to report an incident on a voluntary and confidential basis may do so through the Chief of Campus Safety, Dean of Students, and/or Dean of the Law School. The individual's identity will be safeguarded when possible. The incident will be included in Widener's Crime Statistics. University professional and pastoral counselors will encourage victims and witnesses to report crimes on a voluntary and confidential basis if appropriate.

The Campus Safety Department closely cooperates with the Dean's Office and the Office of Student Services to disseminate information about safety and security matters to the campus community through newsletters, annual brochures, and regularly scheduled staff meetings.

The Chief of Campus Safety works closely with the Director of Campus Services with respect to both the reporting of safety hazards, and the safety of university residence halls. All members of the university community are encouraged to report any condition that may pose a danger to the community. Routine maintenance concerns such as broken windows, leaky pipes, and other maintenance issues, should be reported to the Office of Campus Services at x2029.
