Parking Rules and Decal Information
Parking Rules and Decals 2009-2010
The following will address some updates to our parking rules:

Widener Parking Decals:
All vehicles are required to have an up to date decal affixed to their vehicle, (on rear window or rear portion of vehicle, driver side). Students will have their decals issued to them via their individual student mail boxes after August 25, 2009. Staff and faculty may obtain parking decals directly from the campus safety office. Please see the website for additional information on obtaining additional decals.

Parking spaces:
Please remember that the only valid spaces on our campus are as follows:

  1. A space marked with yellow lines on each side.
  2. A space marked by blue lines, (a valid and up to date special needs or handicap tag or sticker is required for use of these spots since they are designated for use by a small number of our community).
  3. A space that is blocked from use by an orange cone and used as a reserved space for a special visitor at our campus. This space is reserved for a designated person and I ask that members of community respect these reserved spaces and not move these cones.
Reserved Spaces:
I ask that student organizations, staff, and faculty, coordinate their reserved parking needs directly with me via email, (ggstelzig@widener.edu) or by calling Sgt. Jumper at x 3954. We are always happy to assist you in making your guest’s visits to our campus as nice as can be.

Enforcement:
Cars found to be in violation of parking rules may be cited. Violations are usually posted directly to a student’s account about 72 hours later. Those cited who wish to contest their violation and fine may contact the Chief of Campus Safety via email:
ggstelzig@widener.edu.

Safety:
Please remember the speed limit on campus is 15MPH. We have a great many pedestrians in our lots throughout the day, so please drive slowly and stay alert for pedestrians.
