Widener University School of Law alumni office (Delaware Campus) held its Annual Alumni and Friends Golf Outing on Monday, October 22, 2007 at the du Pont Country Club located in Wilmington, Delaware. The sun was shining and the temperature was a very warm 80°. In addition to 18 holes of golf, this year, a special short-game clinic was offered and taken advantage of by some ladies who wanted to improve their game. Following the day on the course participants enjoyed a post-tournament reception with a delicious buffet of food and if they were lucky enough they went home with a wonderful door prize. The event raised more than $2,800 benefiting the Law School's Loan Repayment Assistance Program, which provides grants to graduates who have chosen careers in public interest law.
The winning foursome was Ken Federman ‘93, Jon Madnick, Robert Zibelman, and Neil Kushner. The foursome that assumed 2nd place was David Rohde ‘80, Paul Hirtz, David Roe, and Harry Erhinger. John Brown ‘84 won the longest drive contest, and Lee Schwartz ‘81 won the closest to the pin contest.
