On Monday, December 14, 2009, the Legal Methods faculty at WUSL’s Delaware campus hosted the Fourth Semiannual Meeting of the Delaware Valley Legal Writing Consortium. Legal Writing professors from area law schools shared their “Best Teaching Ideas” with a group of about 35 attendees.

Presenters included faculty members Jennifer Lear and Starla Williams from WUSL’s Harrisburg campus and Alice Eakin and Maryann Brown from the Delaware campus.

Rutgers-Camden Professor Ruth Anne Robbins, President of the Legal Writing Institute, said that she “took home lots and lots of ideas" from the meeting.

Members of the Planning Committee for this meeting were Professors Iva Ferrell, Alison Kehner, Susan King, Sydney Howe-Barksdale, Mary Ellen Maatman, Mary Ann Robinson, and Jean Sbarge. During the final part of the meeting, the group brainstormed the possibility and logistics of creating a Mid-Atlantic Regional Legal Writing Conference.
