Keystone Bar Association Honors Two Harrisburg Students and an Alumna

On Tuesday, October 19, 2010 the Keystone Bar Association awarded scholarships to two Widener Law students from the Harrisburg campus and one alumna. The ceremony was held at the Hilton Harrisburg with a reception starting at 5:30 p.m and dinner at 6:30 p.m.

The recipients of the Justice Robert N.C. Nix, Jr. scholarships were Maria Anastasopoulos and Erica Scavone. One other student from Pennsylvania State University Dickinson School of Law also received the Justice Robert N.C. Nix, Jr. scholarship. Widener alumna Clarissa Freeman, was awarded the Honorable Thurgood Marshall Fellowship award along with a Dickinson School of Law alumna.

The Keystone Bar Association and Dauphin County Bar Association hosted the ceremony at their 11th annual joint dinner meeting. The keynote speaker was the Honorable Linda Thompson, Mayor of Harrisburg.
