Widener Law’s George Reed Phi Alpha Delta Chapter Wins 3 Major Awards

PhiAlphaDeltaPromo235Widener Law’s Phi Alpha Delta chapter, the George Reed chapter, recently captured three major awards, including the 2010-11 Stanley H. Kohn Award for the Most Outstanding Chapter of Phi Alpha Delta, International over more than three hundred other chapters from law schools around the country.

Among the country’s largest legal fraternities, Phi Alpha Delta’s mission statement includes “advancing integrity, compassion and courage through service to the student, the school, the profession and the community.”

In addition to the 2010-11 Stanley H. Kohn Award, the George Reed Chapter brought home two individual awards. Jim Lewis received the 2010-11 Outstanding Vice Justice Award, and Andrew Quietmeyer received the Alex A. Hotchkiss Award given to the Most Outstanding Justice.

“There was no way I could have received this prestigious award if it was not for the tremendous hard work our members put in this past academic year,” said Quietmeyer, adding, “I am very proud to represent Widener Law on the national level.”
