On November 13, 2012, the Honorable Thomas G. Saylor
, Justice of the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania, presided over a special session of court during which he inducted Widener Law graduates into the Pennsylvania bar. The session began at 4:00 p.m. and started with a warm welcome from Justice Saylor following which Dean Linda L. Ammons
shared remarks with attendees. Justice Saylor then addressed the admittees in particular with comments chock full of wise advise for pertinent to starting their law careers. Following the Justice’s thoughtful speech, Prof. Ann Elizabeth Fruth
’92 presented twelve graduates for admission to the bar. Justice Saylor administered the oath to the attentive alumni who repeated the lines pledging to support, obey, and defend the Constitution of the U.S. and the Constitution of the Commonwealth and to do so with fidelity. At the completion of the oath, the graduates formally entered the profession and were applauded by thirty guests and nine faculty/staff onlookers.
