On Tuesday, January 24, 2012, Widener Law’s Delaware campus will host the annual Martin Luther King Day of Service program at 12:00 p.m. in the Ruby R. Vale Moot Courtroom.
The program, Why We Can’t Wait – A Celebration of Service, will honor former Widener Law Professor and current Delaware County Court of Common Pleas Judge Nathaniel C. Nichols for his commitment to service. Peter C. Harvey, former Attorney General of New Jersey, will be the Guest Speaker for the event.
A graduate of Morgan State University and Columbia Law School, Peter C. Harvey was the first African American to serve as New Jersey’s Attorney General. He also served as an Assistant U.S. Attorney for the District of New Jersey where he tried cases involving financial fraud, organized crime and bank robbery. He is now a Partner at Patterson Belknap & Tyler LLP.
