On Monday, April 30th, Widener Law Alum Santino Ceccotti, Esq. ’06 received the Delaware State Bar Association’s Profile in Courage Award at the Law Day Luncheon held at the Hotel du Pont in Wilmington.
Ceccotti, who works in the Appellate Unit of the Delaware Public Defenders Office, was one of the three individuals honored by the DSBA at the ceremony. Pat Quinn of the Delaware Law Related Education Center, Inc. received the Liberty Bell Award and Donald N. Isken, Esq. of Morris Nichols Arsht & Tunnell LLP received the Community Service Award.
The Luncheon came as part of a special program put together by the DSBA that began with “Courts Under Pressure,” a continuing legal education program that featured the Honorable Leo E. Strine Jr. of the Delaware Court of Chancery, Delaware Lieutenant Governor Matthew Denn, and both Melanie George Smith and Lincoln D. Willis of the Delaware House of Representatives.
Chief Justice Myron T. Steele of the Supreme Court of Delaware delivered the keynote address “Delaware’s Independent Judiciary – Fact or Fiction?” at the luncheon.
