New Book By Widener Law Alumnus Looks at Simple Solutions for Tax Jams

GregMcCauley235pxWidener Law alumnus Greg McCauley, Esq. ’81 of McCauley Law Offices, P.C. in Chadds Ford, PA recently published TAXJAMS: Simple Solutions, a self-help guide to issues with the Internal Revenue Service.

TAXJAMS: Simple Solutions will take you through a tax collection case from beginning to end,” says McCauley, adding, “It is a must-have for anyone who owes the IRS less than $50,000 and wants to resolve the case themselves.”

The book, which draws on McCauley’s nearly thirty years of practical tax experience, offers insight into the methods that tax lawyers and accountants use to address tax problems. Two other Widener Law alumni, Daniel Barrett ’10 and Dan Heller ’12, also helped Mr. McCauley write the book.

McCauley, who represents tax payers in a variety of civil and criminal tax matters, clerked for United States District Court Judge James McGirr Kelly in the Eastern District of Pennsylvania after graduating in 1981. He then practiced in the litigation department at Blank, Rome, Comisky, and McCauley in Philadelphia before opening a private practice. He is a member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association, the Union League of Philadelphia, the American Bar Association, the New York State Bar Association, and the New Jersey State Bar Association, and is admitted to admitted to numerous state, federal, and appellate courts as well as the United States Tax Court.
