Widener Law’s Military Law Society is holding a care package donation drive through Friday, May 3rd to benefit the 166th Aircraft Maintenance Group of the Delaware Air National Guard.

Currently stationed in Kuwait, members of the 166th rotate into Afghanistan to provide maintenance and operational support for a couple of weeks at a time before returning to Kuwait. The 166th Aircraft Maintenance Group is part of the 166th Airlift Wing headquartered in New Castle that operates Lockheed C-130H2 transport aircraft in support of the U.S. Air Force.

“The military care package drive is intended first and foremost to support the 166th Maintenance Group in New Castle, Delaware. It’s a local unit that we want to show our local support for,” says 2013-14 Military Law Society president Justin E. Greenhow, who is a member of the 166th.

In the accompanying video, Justin discusses the donation drive and some of the items that can be of real comfort to those on deployment.

Suggested items include:
  • Old books
  • Board games
  • Tastycakes
  • Nonperishable snacks
  • Socks
  • Underwear
  • Kleenex
