On Tuesday, April 2nd, the top trial advocacy teams from the Delaware and Harrisburg campuses faced off in the final round of the Hugh B. Pearce Competition in the Ruby R. Vale Moot Courtroom on the Delaware campus, with the Delaware team of Jessica Reno and Rebecca Robb defeating the Harrisburg campus team of Alla Mayzel and Corey Dietz.

The teams argued a problem drafted by the Honorable Thomas P. Franczyk of Erie County, NY called People v. Osiski that involved a Mr. Osiski being tried for the murder of his friend and band-mate Marty Siriusz. Reno and Robb represented the Defense while Mayzel and Dietz argued for the People.

The two teams in the final round emerged from over 40 teams representing more than 80 students between the two campuses according to Hugh B. Pearce Competition Chair Jennifer Larson of the Moe Levine Trial Advocacy Honor Society. The Honorable Robert Mellon from the Bucks County Court of Common Pleas presided over the final round arguments.
