New students can find schedules and other pertinent resources on the respective orientation pages for Delaware or Harrisburg. Please note that attendance at all orientation events is mandatory.

Introduction to Law

“Given the great variety in the experiences of our students before law school, we have designed the Introduction to Law classes for all students to learn core concepts and skills essential to a successful performance in law school. While the week provides only an introduction to law school, we expect students to take seriously the opportunity to begin building habits that will be useful throughout law school,” says Delaware campus Assistant Dean for the Office of Student Affairs Patrick J. Johnston.

“In order to be fully prepared for the Intro to Law course that takes place during Orientation, students should view the posted Intro to Law packet, which includes first assignments, course expectations, and required textbooks,” advises Assistant Registrar Molly Acri.

Welcome to Law School

“In my experience, the Orientation week provides a great opportunity for students to get to know the Widener Law community - including faculty, staff and fellow classmates. The scheduled activities really give students a good idea of what to expect as they embark on their law school career,” Acri says.

The entire Widener Law community is excited to welcome you and looks forward to working with you as you embark upon your law school career!
