Widener Law wants to showcase the artistic talents of the school community.

The Delaware campus will host an art exhibit in the Strine Atrium of the Main Law Building featuring the photographs, paintings and sculptures of its students, faculty, staff and alumni in September. The school will celebrate the show with a reception on Sept. 23 from 4 to 6 p.m.

Submissions are invited by Sept. 3 to Mary Allen, public relations officer, at room 276 in the clinical wing of the Main Law Building. Submissions from the Harrisburg campus are also welcome and can be coordinated through Allen by calling 302.477.2175 or emailing

“We want to celebrate the artistic vision within our Widener family,” Allen said. “Whether you create as an escape from the stress of school, or because it has been a lifelong passion we want to see your work. I am hopeful we’ll get a number of submissions that will shine in the atrium and provide an opportunity for visitors to contemplate the immense talents of our people.”

A committee of community leaders will consider the submissions for inclusion in the show. Submissions should include the name of the artist, title, size, medium and date created. Photographic submissions should be framed prints. Artwork chosen for display will be at the risk of the artist.
