Food and Drug Law program examines hot topics

Hot topics in U.S. food and drug law, antibiotic use in animals and U.S. Supreme Court decisions involving generic drugs, will frame the discussion at an upcoming event on Widener Law’s Delaware campus.

The program, “All Matters FDA: The Year in Review, Crimes, Misdemeanors and More,” presented by the school’s Food and Drug Law Association will take place Wednesday, March 26 from 1 to 3 p.m. in the Ruby R. Vale Moot Courtroom at 4601 Concord Pike. A light reception will follow.

The program will address issues related to enforcement of the U.S. Food, Drug and Cosmetic Act such as dietary supplements, arsenic in food, pay-for-delay, ethical issues and more. It is suitable for attorneys and non-attorneys alike.

Speakers include:
  • Roseann B. Termini, Widener Law adjunct professor of food and drug law.
  • Karyn M. Campbell, director of the Food & Drug Administration investigation branch for the Philadelphia district.
  • Albert S. Glenn, an assistant U.S. attorney for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania.
Attorneys from Delaware and Pennsylvania who attend the program will be eligible for two continuing legal education credits, including one ethics credit. New Jersey attorneys may self report with a Widener Law certificate of attendance. The registration fee for attorneys who attend for credit is $40 and includes the post-event reception. Attendance is free for students or members of the public not seeking continuing legal education credits.
