Established in 1990 as cooperative effort between the
Widener University School of Law and
University College, Widener’s evening and weekend undergraduate division, the LEI Widener Law Center provides a rigorous program of legal education to prepare students for careers as legal assistants, paralegals, and legal nurse consultants.
The Institute is part of the Widener University Law Center and provides paraprofessional legal education to qualified full- and part-time students on the Delaware Campus. Institute faculty members are deeply committed to providing a rigorous program of legal education to prepare students for rewarding careers in law-related fields of endeavor.
The Legal Education Institute offers students a unique learning experience. The Institute and Widener University School of Law are integral parts of the Widener University Law Center.
Most importantly, students at the Legal Education Institute receive exceptional classroom instruction. The diverse experiences of the faculty and administration contribute greatly to the continued excellence of the Institute's academic programs.
