Paralegal Programs
LEI @ Widener Law Center offers Paralegal and Legal Nurse Consultant Programs approved by the American Bar Association. LEI is affiliated with Widener University School of Law and is located on the Delaware campus. LEI students have access to the vast resources of the Widener Law Library.

Widener Law Center has earned a reputation for excellent academic programs taught in an environment that stresses personal attention for each student.

LEI @ Widener Law Center offers both full-time and part-time studies to accommodate students with unique work, family or other circumstances as well as a combination of day and evening classes. To further accommodate students, LEI @ Widener Law Center is pleased to offer online classes. The diverse experiences of the distinguished faculty and administration contribute to the continued excellence of our academic programs.

LEI @ Widener Law Center is approved by the American Bar Association and offers students a distinguished learning experience. Most importantly, students receive exceptional classroom instruction. The legal skills acquired through the paralegal program enable graduates to assist attorneys in all phases of private and public law practice, including, among other skills, legal research and writing, litigation preparation and document control, case file maintenance, and client interviewing.

Bachelor’s Degree Program – 120 credits
Students enrolled in this program are provided with skills to perform legal research manually, on the computer and through the internet. They become well versed in civil and criminal theory, legal writing, and procedure and may concentrate on a particular area of law through the choice of legal electives. Students completing this program are awarded both a Bachelor of Science degree and a Paralegal Certificate of Completion.

Associate’s Degree Program – 60 Credits
This paralegal program focuses on legal research and writing, the mechanics of the civil litigation process and various specialized areas such as probate, litigation, real estate and technology. The program provides intensive specialty skills and broad liberal arts education for students who enter the paralegal profession. Students completing this program are awarded both an Associate of Science degree and a Paralegal Certificate of Completion. Many associate students continue in the Bachelor program at  LEI @ Widener Law Center .

Paralegal Certificate Program – 24 Credits 
The certificate program provides specialty instruction for students already holding 60 college credits and focuses on legal research and writing, internet legal research, the civil litigation process. and various specialized areas with concentrations in corporate law, criminal law, litigation , health law, real estate law, estate administration, and intellectual property.
