Law school is a full-time job. And for
4-year program students like Matt DeNucci ’09, it’s not the only one.
DeNucci found Widener Law’s 4year program to be a great way to balance his position as an assistant bank manager with the pursuit of a law degree. As a student on the four-year track, he has the same access to Widener’s
top-notch faculty and challenging curriculum as the three-year students. According to him, 4-year program students have a certain advantage over their three-year counterparts.
“You have a more diverse class in terms of life and work experiences,” DeNucci says. “My classmates are a valuable resource, and I learn a lot from them on a daily basis.”
Overall, DeNucci couldn’t be happier with his education. From his first call to the admissions office, the Pennsylvania native has been thrilled by the quality of Widener Law and its people.
“My classmates are extremely motivated and intelligent people,” DeNucci says. “And the professors are some of the finest legal practitioners and scholars anywhere. They’re always available to students and treat me and my peers with respect and understanding.”
DeNucci’s also impressed by, and thankful for, all of the opportunities available outside of the classroom. In particular, he cites the
Student Bar Association for excellent campus involvement and networking opportunities, the
Widener Law Review for helping him to hone his research and writing skills, and the Moot Court Honor Society for providing his first chance to act in a lawyerly capacity.
