Panel Discussion with Co-Directors to Follow Screening of Documentary on Prisoner Reentry

2013PullofGravityPromo235pxOn Thursday, May 2nd, in Alumni Auditorium on Widener’s Chester campus, the Widener University Center for Violence Prevention is co-sponsoring a special screening of Pull of Gravity, a documentary film by El Sawyer and Jon Kaufman about what happens when inmates return home following time in prison.

The film is the result of the combined efforts of an ex-convict, an independent filmmaker, and the United States Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. The screening is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. in Alumni Auditorium and will be followed by a special panel discussion with the co-directors, a representative from the United States Attorney’s Office, and other members of the community involved in reintegration.

Tickets for the event are free, but reservations are required. Tickets can be reserved at pullofgravitychester.eventbrite.com. Please note that the documentary contains adult language that is not suitable for children.
