CulhaneBloggingPromo235 2From Monday, April 27th through Sunday, May 3rd, Philadelphia will play host once again to Equality Forum, “the largest annual national and international GLBT civil rights forum.” Professor John G. Culhane, Director of Widener Law’s Health Law Institute, will serve as the official blogger for the event.

To follow along with Professor Culhane’s experiences, take a look at his blog, WordInEdgewise, where he will post daily updates.

Professor Culhane will be reporting on a range of panels, speakers, and events to take place as part of Equality Forum. As he writes on WordInEdgewise, “Once again, the organizers have assembled a ridiculously accomplished and interesting array of panels and speakers, on topics ranging from gay families, to politics, to legal developments, to religion, to the special challenges faced by racial and transgendered minorities.”

"I've always thought Equality Forum was a great event, and I'm excited and honored to be able to serve as "official blogger" for the event,” says Professor Culhane, adding, “I expect to be running around to a bunch of events that will be important for people who care about LGBT issues, talking to the participants, and then blogging about them late into the night. What's a week of sleep?

Even though finals are coming up, I encourage everyone to check out the schedule and attend what you can. There's a line-up of luminaries, and almost everything is free."
