On Tuesday, February 9th at 12:00 pm, Assistant Professor Tonya M. Evans
will be teaching a “Lunch and Learn” continuing legal education program on intellectual property at the Dauphin County Bar Association headquarters. Sponsored by the Keystone Bar Association, the session is entitled “Intellectual Property Matters that Matter for the General Practitioner,” and is part of KBA’s Eighth Annual Black History Month CLE Series.
Professor Evans will cover the basics of intellectual property law with particular attention to the fundamentals of copyright and trademark law. The deadline to register for this CLE program is Tuesday, February 2nd. Contact the Dauphin County Bar Association to register. The cost for the session is $35 dollars, although individuals interested in attending a second event in the series can receive a $10 discount by registering for both sessions.
The second event is on February 23, 2010 at 12 pm. Mark Mekilo, Senior Assistant Counsel to the Senate Democratic Leader, will conduct a session on "Table Games: An Update in the Gaming Law in Pennsylvania". The registration deadline for this session is February 16.
