Widener Law’s Harrisburg campus recently became the first law school to sign on to the Pennsylvania Bar Association’s Pennsylvania Lawyers United for Sustainability (PLUS) Program, an initiative that provides Pennsylvania attorneys and law firms the opportunity to demonstrate commitment to environmental sustainability.

"The Pennsylvania Bar Association is one of the first state bars in the country to provide a means for law firms and other law organizations to work toward sustainability. We're pleased to be the first Pennsylvania law school to join this important effort," says Distinguished Professor John C. Dernbach, the Director of Widener Law’s Environmental Law Center and the Harrisburg campus contact for the PLUS Program.

Guidelines for compliance with the sustainability initiative cover ways to save energy, reduce the use of paper, increase recycling efforts and reduce waste, and purchasing recommendations for equipment and office supplies.

Widener Law is proud to join the Pennsylvania Bar Association in promoting sustainable work environments!
