Widener Law’s Delaware campus will host a special Multicultural Dinner and Workshop for minority students in the entering class on Thursday, July 21st, 2011 from 6:30 to 9:00 p.m. in the Barristers Club.
“These students traditionally are the first to attend professional school in their families, and many times do not have access to the same resources and information as other students,” says Multicultural Affairs Officer Troy Riddle, who organized the event.
“We will be doing a brief learning assessment because I believe it’s extremely important for students to understand how they best process and comprehend information,” adds Troy.
The event will also feature a workshop on outlining for law school exams and tips for managing the rigors of law school. Additionally, student leaders from the Student Bar Association
and some of Widener Law’s diverse student organizations
will be available to answer questions.
