"Widener Law is honored to host the law school diversity professionals meeting, especially because it is the fifth annual meeting. Our group has passed its infancy stage and is taking things to another level," said Widener Law’s Harrisburg campus Admissions Director Eric M. Kniskern, who served on the planning team for the event.

The special section of the Widener Law website dedicated to the event contains registration information, a meeting schedule, and travel & accommodation information. The deadline to register for the program is March 16th.

The meeting will feature a variety of workshops as well as two keynote addresses. Former Pennsylvania Secretary of State Pedro A. Cortés will speak at a dinner on Thursday held at the Dauphin County Bar Association. Cortés is the current Executive Vice President of Everyone Counts, a global election solutions company specializing in military and overseas voting. Widener Law Dean Linda L. Ammons will also deliver a keynote address at lunch on Thursday the 14th.

The Annual Meeting of Law School Diversity Professionals is designed to bring law school diversity professionals together in a think-tank environment to foster conversations and promote a system of networking among colleagues in this profession. At each yearly meeting, the central goals are to discuss and implement effective strategies on recruitment, matriculation, retention or support of students from diverse backgrounds, as well as diversity-related law school policies and practices.
