MJGlobalComplainceArtwork390pxWidener Law is pleased to announce that students now have the opportunity to pursue a Certificate in Global Compliance and Ethics as they work toward either a Master of Jurisprudence in Corporate and Business Law or a Master of Jurisprudence in Health Law.

The Certificate in Global Compliance and Ethics will provide students with the knowledge and practical skills needed to prepare for the Compliance Certification Board (CCB) examination to become a Certified Corporate Compliance and Ethics Professional-International (CCEP-I). According to the Compliance Certification Board, the Certified Compliance & Ethics Professional–International (CCEP-I) is “someone with knowledge of relevant international regulations and expertise in compliance processes sufficient to assist organizations with their legal obligations, and someone who promotes organizational integrity through the operation of effective compliance programs.”

Earning an MJ degree from Widener Law enables a student to sit for the CCB exam without the otherwise required 1500 hours of related work experience.

“I am proud to further enhance our strong relationship with the CCB and offer a variety of distinctive and comprehensive compliance programs that further the missions of both the CCB and Widener Law,” says Eileen Grena-Piretti, Assistant Dean and Executive Director of Widener Law’s Institutes.
