United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit to Hear Oral Arguments on the Delaware Campus

On Thursday, October 10th, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit will hear Oral Arguments on Widener Law’s Delaware Campus.

The court is scheduled to hear arguments in four cases in the Ruby R. Vale Moot Courtroom from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Students are encouraged to take advantage of this wonderful opportunity to observe a federal appeals court at work.

The proceedings will also be broadcast into room L123. A Roundtable Discussion and Reception with Bench and Bar will follow.

Courtroom Protocol

Courtroom protocol will be in effect. Attendees should respect the dignity of the Court at all times and wear appropriate attire.

Everyone who attends is subject to a security check by Court security officers and Court staff, who are authorized to open and inspect any items that are carried into the courtroom.

Unless physically unable, attendees must rise when the judges enter and remain standing until the presiding judge invites everyone to be seated. When court adjourns, everyone should remain standing in place until the judges are no longer visible. Areas marked as reserved are for Court staff and Federal Circuit law clerks.

Recording or broadcasting devices, cameras (including those contained in computers or other electronic devices), and computers other than those used by counsel are prohibited. Phones must be turned off and repeated  entrances and departures should be avoided.
